The short version of "In An Instant" is designed for community outreach programs where time for viewing and discussing is limited. By profiling only the young survivors of burn injury, it puts a human face on the suffering caused by burns from gasoline and fumes, kitchen grease fires, and playing with matches. This version also touches on arson, the physical aftermath of burn injuries and the treatment survivors must undergo, often throughout a lifetime. Offering fewer details than the original on these topics, the 10-minute version nonetheless retains its spirit intact.
