Ever since man first dreamed of flying, the kite has been admired for its beauty and its grace. In some cultures, the kite was considered an external soul and was a way of getting in touch with the gods and the heavens. Beginning with a brief history of kiting, Flights of Fancy examines the art behind kite-flying and features legendary artist and kite-maker Tyrus Wong creating one of the most difficult kites to build: the classic Chinese centipede. As always, originality in design, shape and size is limited only by the creator's patience and imagination.
